Solid defense and strong passes on offense kept the 7th grade girls basketball team leading the Knights for the game. While the Knights did catch up in the 4th quarter, the team battled back to hold their ground. End of game strategies played a big role in keeping the Knights at bay. Miller hit a last second 3-point shot to tie up the game in the 2nd OT and send the Devils into a sudden death overtime. One minute into sudden death Klinge drove to the basket and drained a clutch layup to seal the victory. Scorers for the night were Miller (14), Klinge (8), Clase (6), McDowell (4), Smosna (2), and Mitrione (2). The B team also won a close match up against the Knights. The entire game was back and forth, but ultimately smart ballhandling and end-of-game knowledge led the Devils to a 25-24. Scorers were Goldberg (13), Mitrione (4), Boaz (4), and Lee (4).
