Last night the 7th grade girls basketball team took on the visiting Wea Ridge Huskies. While the Devils had a slow start to the game, they managed to pull ahead 12-2 at the half. The team really hit their stride in the second half after adjusting to the zone finish out the game 36 to 8. Leading scorer for the night was Clase with 8. Smosna, Mitrione, McDowell, and Miller each contributed 6 as well. The B team won a hard fought battle against the Huskies as well. Tied 10 to 10 at halftime, the Devils stepped up their defense and outscored their opponent 11-2 in the second half bringing their final score to 21-12. Scorers for the night were Lee (8), Boaz (6), Goldberg (5), and Kelley (2).
