Junior High Boys Cross Country Places 3rd at State

The Junior High boys cross country team placed 3rd place out of 64 teams in the Small School State Championship held in Terre Haute on Saturday. The boys team had a team score 198 points and were led by all state performances by Max Rodriguez (16th place) and Elijah Pierce (25th place). There were 583 total runners in the Varsity race. 16th - Max Rodriguez 10:30.81 25th - Elijah Pierce 10:38.93 44th - Alexander Burgess 10:58.47 63th - Joshua Ciocoi 11:08.04 65th - Cain Martens 11:08.46 78th - Ian Gilbert 11:12.44 192nd - Jacob So 11:57.21 232nd - Ray Li 12:10.46 295th - Joseph Zhang 12:34.30 The boys JV team came in first place out of 23 teams with a score of 61 points. The JV team was led by top 25 performances by Edward Mascarenhas (5th), Frank Peyton (8th), David Zhou (11th), and Elliott Sugiarto (24th). Elliot Cooper (40th), Jonathan Du (50th), and Albert Jin (54th) rounded out the varsity seven. Thomas Corong had a 50 second PR and Tre Elliott had the biggest PR of the day, taking off 1 minute and 33 second from his previous best.
