WL Falls to Western to End Season

West Lafayette falls to Western in the sectional 18 semifinal bringing the 2023 season to a close. Ascarelli, Johnson, and Orr each recorded a hit in the loss. The Red Devils finish the season 17-8 WL’s first winning season since 2016 and first time with single digit losses since 2015. Losing just one senior, right fielder Kiersten Penquite, the Red Devils are poised to build on the successes of this season moving into 2024.
