Junior High Cross Country Sweeps at Central Catholic Invite

The Junior High boys and girls cross country team both came in first place at the Central Catholic Invitational on Thursday. The boys team scored 58 points and came in first of 19 teams, narrowing defeating Battleground by 5 points. The girls team scored 51 points and defeated 13 other teams. Max Rodriguez and Emmy Gustus both earned medals, placing third place in each respective race. For the boys, Jacob So tied his PR with a time of 11:42.3 and Cain Martens set a 10 second PR with a time of 11:42.5. On the girls side, Valencia Day ran a 30 second PR with a time of 14:31.1 and Kate Rodriguez ran a 15 second best with a time of 16:18.6. Delylah Butland (15 seconds), Cathy Meng (1 minute, 4 seconds) and Calla Gawthrop (13 seconds) each ran their personal best times as well.
