West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School

The Junior High boys cross country team finished in first place of 7 teams at the Hornet Hustle with a team score of 29 points. Max Rodriguez led the way with a first place finish, as Joshua Ciocoi, Elijah Pierce, Alexander Burgess, Edward Mascarenas, Ray Li, and Ian Gilbert rounded out the top seven varsity. For the JV boys, Frank Peyton (33 seconds), Elliott Cooper (31 seconds), JJ Tanoos (1 minute, 4 seconds) and Simon Hoffman (40 seconds) each scored big PR improvements from their previous race. The girls team finished runner up to East Tipp with a team score of 49 points. Maddie Clampitt-Morales and Emmy Gustus led the girls team with 3rd and 4th place finishes respectively. Jillian Hanna improved by over two minutes from her time at this same meet last year. Ilkay Irfanoglu and Beth McVey also improved by just under two minutes from their course time last season.
