West Lafayette splits at the Twin Lakes Invite with a 20-8 win over Northwestern and a 1-2 loss to Kankakee Valley. Dani Rawles got the start in game 1 vs Northwestern and earned the W in the circle. Izzy Ascarelli pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief. The bats were alive against the tigers with West Lafayette racking up 20 hits. Bree Johnson went 5-6 with 6 RBI including her first home run of the season. Adrianne Tolen was 3-4 with 6 RBI. Dani Rawles, Izzy Ascarelli, and Ellie Wilcoxson all pitched in 3 hits a piece. Game 2 was a much different look with the Devil and Kouger offenses combing for just 8 hits. Rawles, Tolen, and Allison Creech each had a hit for West Lafayette. Ascarelli had 9 strikeouts in the loss, 15 on the day.
