The WL 7th Grade A team keep their undefeated streak alive and are now 3-0 with their win against the Bronchos Wednesday night. Even though the scores were close, 25-19 and 25-20, the Red Devils dominated the match. Strong serving by Shaeah Voght, with 7 aces, and Kerrigan Kitchel helped the team to a victory. Evelyn Stahelin and Enqi Gan led the offense and was able to get the ball to Vogt, Kitchel, Arya Leao and Ainsley VanHorn, who all had numerous kills. Our back row defense and serve receive did well against some hard hits from the Bronchos. All out hustle plays by Arabella Combs and Ryen Harris helped keep the energy up. These girls work very well as a team and don't give up! The B team also were able to defeat Tecumseh in two close sets, 25-20, 25-19. Jamilla Manning and Bethany Kaverman were strong behind the serving line and helped the Red Devils to another big win. Lauren Flesher and Felicia Xie were on point with their passing. The girls were able to keep their errors low and force the Bronchos to make the mistakes. Great win! Next week, the Red Devils take on East Tipp at home on Wednesday at 5:45pm. Then they travel to Central Catholic on Thursday to play the Knights at 5:45pm.
