West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School

This past Thursday night, the West Lafayette 8th Grade volleyball team took on the Twin Lakes Indians. Both teams played extremely well to win both of their games in only 2 sets. The A team was lead in passing by our libero, Danni Brown and our DS Emma Garringer. Those beautiful passes lead to some fantastic sets by both Lucia Warden Torres and Janice Stahelin. We had a combination of hits from the front-line Tabby Alexander, Mere Andrews, Isla St. Hilaire, Emma Cline and Laurel Smith to help lead us to a victory. The scores were 10-25, 12-25. The B team also had a fantastic night of volleyball with Rowyn Asay leading the team with 10 aces! Marley Dewees and Lillian Umilis both had 2 kills a pieces, with Theresa Pollard having 1. The backrow passing was lead by libero Adelyn Mathewson. Nolla Furry and Layla Weiner had some beautiful sets and passes to help lead their team to a victory as well. Way to go, ladies!! We are so proud of you! The West Lafayette Red Devils will take on Tecumseh on Wednesday, September 3rd at Tecumseh! RDP!
