Central Catholic, Tuesday, 4/18 Maddox Bramer pitched a gem for the Red Devils who couldn’t push the runs across in a 3-0 loss to Central Catholic. Bramer struck out four and gave up no earned runs over six full innings of work. At the plate, JJ Weida, Lincoln Furry and Nolan McPherson all went two for three. Cade Kitchel threw the seventh inning, striking out two. Western, Friday, 4/21 The Red Devils trotted out Aiden Heap as the starting pitcher at Western. Heap was able to wiggle out of the first unscathed by coaxing a pop out with two runners on. West Side took the lead in the top of the second with lead off back to back singles by Nolan McPherson and Cade Kitchel. McPherson stole a base and came around to score on a wild pitch. Unfortunately, that was the only run the Red Devils were able to muster on the night. Kitchel and Jett Flannely pitched in relief of Heap. West Lafayette lost with a final score 12-1.
