West Lafayette cruises to the 12-0 win over Benton Central behind a complete game shutout by standout freshman pitcher Izzy Ascarelli. Ascarelli allowed just 2 hits over 5 innings, striking out 4 Bison in the process. Ascarelli helped her own cause, with two hits. Dani Rawles, Adrianne Tolen, and Emma Orr all added 2 hits a piece as the Red Devil offense went off for 12 hits. Tolen and Rawles put on a base running clinic as the Devils once again caused havoc on the base paths. West Lafayette has matched its best start since 2015 at 6-0 and is pacing the Hoosier Conference at 4-0. The Devils travel to Clinton Central on Thursday before returning home for a five game home-stand starting on Friday.
