Red Devils Set New Records at State

Five athletes from the middle school track team represented West Lafayette at the Indiana Middle School State track meet on Saturday. The boys 4 x 800 M relay team of Jinsoo Choi, Duke Elias, Alex Eriksson placed 4th of 29 teams as they broke the school record with a time of 9:08.36. The previous record was 9:41.35 held by 2025 graduates Will Covington, Lincoln Miller, Ryan Miloudi, and Francesco Tripodi. Later in the day, Zak Koliantz broke the school record in the 2400 run with a time of 7:48.60. He came in 14th place out of 39 runners. The previous record was 7:55.84 held by Ehan Qazi. Jinsoo Choi finished in 20th place out of 42 runners in the boys 1600 M race with a time of 4:46.34. This was a new personal best for Jinsoo. On the girls side, Erica Rogers competed in the 1600 M and 2400 M run. Erica ran a personal best of 5:26.79 while coming in 25th place out of 38 runners. In the 2400 M race, Erica came in 28th place of 38 runners with a time of 9:03.71. Congratulations to all of the West Lafayette Red Devils who competed at the 2025 State Meet.
