Aaron Wood named WL Baseball Head Coach

The West Lafayette Athletics Department is excited to announce Aaron Wood as the head coach of the West Lafayette High School Baseball program. The 2000 WL graduate coached for 13 years in the West Lafayette baseball program serving as JV head coach, varsity assistant, and hitting coach. While on the WL staff, teams won two regionals, three sectionals, and the Hoosier Conference 7 times. Coach Wood has also spent the last 16 years on staff with the West Lafayette High School Football program. As a former Red Devil student-athlete, Aaron participated in football, basketball, and baseball earning 8 letters. Coach Wood has been instrumental in improving the strength and conditioning programming at West Lafayette. For the last two summers, he has led all-sports strength and conditioning workouts. He also co-teaches the WL strength and conditioning courses at WLJSHS. Mr. Wood is currently in his fifth year teaching strength/conditioning, PE, and 7th-grade study skills. Aaron and his Wife Jennifer live in West Lafayette along with daughter Carson (6) and son Carter (3). Jennifer is a 3rd-grade teacher at WLES.
