West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School

The West Lafayette Junior High cross country team swept both the boys and girls varsity races at Tuesday evening's Hornet Hustle 3K event hosted by Rossville. The boys team was 1st place of 9 teams with a team score of 29 points. The team was led by Jinsoo Choi's 2nd place finished while running under 11 minutes for the first time. Alex Eriksson had a huge PR and finished third place with a time of 10:58.0. The girls team was first place of seven teams with a team score of 50 points. Lucia Neal ran a 20 second PR and came in 10th place and Amy Zhao ran her best by over 1 minute and came in 30th place. In the JV race, the West Lafayette boys finished in the top 8 places, led by Andrii Vakuliuk's first place finish and included over 1 minute PR's by Edward Mascarenhas and Elijah Pierce. On the girls side, Rafa Moreno ran an almost two minute PR and finished in second place.
