7th & 8th Grade Football vs Tecumseh

The 7th and 8th grade teams took on Tecumseh Middle school on Thursday night with each team coming away with a victory. The 7th grade won 36-14 and the 8th grade won 40-14. In a back and forth battle during the 7th grade game, the Red Devils took a 20-14 lead into halftime. Mason Wright opened up the scoring with a long touchdown run on the opening play of the game. Adding to the scoring was Chase Wright and a long touchdown reception by Mason Wright on a 4th and long play. The pass was thrown by quarterback Oliver Cromwell. The defense came out in the 2nd half and shut down the Tecumseh run game. They were able to add on 2 more scores. One being a long touchdown run by Alvin Ajayi. Following the 7th grade game, the 8th grade team took the field looking to continue their undefeated season. Coming out quick the Red Devils got up to a 24-8 lead with big plays by Kojo Steffey, Joseph Bae, and completions thrown by QB Blake Biddle. Tecumseh ran the ball hard but couldn't complete drives with a big interception at the goal line by safety Cody Boyle. The defense came out strong with a big series to start the 2nd half led by defensive end Josiah Lewis. The Red Devils would add 2 more scores to push the lead to 40-8. Touchdown reception by Colin Kastens thrown by Blake Biddle with the 2 point conversion being completed from Kojo Steffey to Josiah Lewis. The Red Devils will conclude their season next Thursday night against Roosevelt Middle School at home.
