Last night the 7th grade girls played their first game together on their home court against Southwestern. The A team won in two sets. The first set was 25-12, and the second set was 25-13. The players impressed the fans as they showed off their strong serves, strategic kills, and on-target passes. Meredith Andrew starred in the game as her consistent and aggressive serves racked up points against Southwestern. The B team fought hard to win two out of three sets with final scores of 19-25, 25-14, and 15-10. After losing the first game, the Red Devils didn’t give up. Isla St. Hilaire won many points for her team through her serves in the second set, gaining the advantage over Southwestern. Emma Cline and Marley DeWees showed a lot of leadership on the court, communicating and keeping the ball in play. Finally, Nolla Furry and Marley DeWees served consistently at the end of the third set to bring in the win for the Red Devils.
