West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School

The 7th Grade football team took the field against Central Catholic on Thursday night. CC went away with the win with a score of 56-22. The score doesn't tell the whole story with the game being tied at 16 through 2 quarters. Turnovers forced by CC made a big difference in the 2nd half. Red Devils scoring during the game were Mason Wright, Colton Evans, Alvin Ajayi, and Alan Salazar. Each throwing a touchdown pass were Max Smosna and Oliver Cromwell. The 7th grade will take on Klondike at Harrison High School on Thursday. The 8th grade took the field following the 7th grade game. With the high school team looking on to watch the game, the 8th grade started the game with a nice drive capped off with a long touchdown reception by Fielder Melchi thrown by Blake Biddle. The Red Devils didn't slow down in the first half with 2 touchdowns by Kojo Steffey. Completing the 2 point conversions were Josiah Lewis and Henry Umulis. Into the 2nd half up 22-0 the Red Devils continued the scoring with touchdowns by Kojo Steffey, Josiah Lewis, and Joseph Bae. The defense played another great game completing another shutout 41-0. The 8th grade will follow up the 7th grade on Thursday night at Harrison High School against Klondike
