West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School

The 7th grade took the field in their 2nd game of the season. Falling behind 14-0 early in the 2nd quarter, the Red Devils put together a final drive of the half with Mason Wright capping it off with a touchdown. The play came on a quick pass from QB Max Smosna. This took the 7th grade down 14-6 at the half. Continuing to battle and putting together some nice drives and a nice pass from Smosna to Alan Salazar put the Red Devils in position to score to tie the game. They were unable to finish the drive and the game ended with a score of 20-6. In the 2nd game of the night, the 8th grade squad got things started quickly scoring on their opening drive with a Kojo Steffey touchdown run. They put on 2 more scores in the first half with another touchdown run by Kojo and an interception returned for a touchdown. Cody Boyle added a 2 point conversion reception from QB Blake Biddle. The Red Devils would add one more touchdown in the 3rd quarter to make it 30-0. The defense continued to put up another great performance starting up front with the defensive line led by Josiah Lewis and Henry Umulis. The Red Devils will take on Rensselaer next Thursday night at home.
