West Lafayette Falls to Harrison, Defeats Kokomo in CoEd Tri Meet

The Red Devil Swim Team traveled just up the road to Harrison High School to take on the Harrison Raiders and Kokomo Katfish in a co-ed tri meet. The Red Devils raced and dove to first place finishes in 8 events, led by Juniors Lucas Arnaldo and Madeline Umulis. Arnaldo took 1st place in both the 50 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle, while Umulis touched the wall first in the 100 Backstroke with a season best time. Umulis also swam on all three relays for the Red Devils, including the 200 Freestyle Relay, which took first place. The Red Devil divers had a strong showing, with Senior Captain Brendan Twomey winning on the boys side and the girls earning a 1-2 finish by Ace Tyrrell (FR) and Kynlee Dunbar (SO) respectively. The girls team boasted two additional event winners, including Senior Captain Laurie Antalis taking the 200 Freestyle and Natalie Cuttell (FR) in the 500 Freestyle. This concludes the regular season for the Red Devils swim teams. Up next: JV Finale at McCutcheon on January 27 and Girls Sectional Championships on February 1-3.
