West Lafayette Boys take 4th, Rack up Best Times at Splashing Through the Snow

Red Devils Swimming at Diving took 4th in the men's scores at the 2023 Splashing Through the Snow Invitational, hosted by Terre Haute South High School. Held at the Vigo County Aquatic Center, West Lafayette traveled with a light roster and competed against 8 other schools finished middle of the pack with 348 points. The Red Devils were led in points cored by Senior Captain Ben Mariner with 47 points. Mariner competed on two A Relays (200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay) and took 4th in the individual 100 Freestyle and 3rd in the 100 Backstroke. The Red Devils also boasted three other athletes scoring at least 40 points, including the 100 Breast individual event winner, Junior Lucas Arnaldo; Freshman Chase Jordan; and Sophomore Ethan Zhang. West Lafayette had strong showings across the board, with a total of 20 best times and top 3 finishes in three additional events, including: 200 Freestyle Relay A, 3rd place -- Jonathan Yang (FR), Lincoln Miller (JR), Ryan Miloudi (JR), Arnaldo 100 Backstroke -- 2nd place, Chase Jordan; 3rd place, Ben Mariner 400 Freestyle Relay A, 2nd place -- Jordan, Mariner, Zhang, Arnaldo The Red Devils are on the road again on Saturday, December 16th, for a second invitational, the Eagle Invite, hosted by Zionsville High School.
