The Red Devils led wire to wire, notching a 59-25 victory. Calvin Snyder was a force in the lane early with 8 of his team high 14 points in the first quarter. He also added 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. West Side pushed the tempo all night with Martin Vega Diaz streaking down the court scoring 12 points. Karam Abu Sarah narrowly missed a double double with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Jaece Vogt also stuffed the stat book with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Chase Ostrom penetrated the defense a number of times to net 8 points. The A team now carries a 6-3 record on the season. The B Team remains undefeated West Lafayette’s relentless defense came out aggressive and did not let up all night. They sprinted out to a 33-4 halftime lead and extended to the final of 60-18. Alvin Ajayi turned steals into fast break lay ups in the first. He led all scorers with 19 and recorded 5 steals. West Side dominated the glass with Ira Dobson pulling in 12 rebounds and Aiden Hubbard securing 5. Oliver Crowell shined offensively with 13 points and Dobson added 12. From behind the arc, Christian Steffey knocked down two three pointers. The B team is now 6-0.
