9/28/26 West Lafayette (JV) Vs. Twin Lakes Indians Location: West Lafayette Time: 6:00pm Final Score: 44-36 (Twin Lakes) What an action packed game! The Red Devils started things off with Cameron Kudelka recovering a Twin Lakes fumble on the 2nd play from scrimmage, putting the West Lafayette team in great field position. A few players later, quarterback Keegan Slifer connected with DJ Moore for the first score of the game. Kyson Young converted the two point conversion, and the Red Devils were off to an early lead. Slifer would continue the positive momentum throughout the first half, and put together big plays with Luke Tolen and Moore. Moore would go on to score several more touchdowns, and the Red Devils pushed in front with a commanding lead. Duke Elias added to the lead with an 80 yard kickoff return for another exciting Red Devil touchdown. In addition to Elias’s kickoff returns, he also handled the punt returns and made multiple tackles on the various Red Devil kickoffs. Defensively, the Red Devils also had a dominant first half, limiting Twin Lakes to only 14 points. Grayson McClelland, Zach Cuttell, Elijah Martin, and DJ Moore halted most Indian plays before they even took shape. Tolen also was instrumental defensively, and made a huge tackle on a Twin Lakes ball carrier, forcing another fumble that was recovered by West Lafayette. Unfortunately for the Red Devils, they were unable to maintain the lead in the second half, and Twin Lakes pulled ahead with less than a minute left in the game. The West Lafayette squad will heal up and prepare for next week’s matchup against cross-town rival Central Catholic. RDP!!!
