The girls team claimed its first victory of the season by the narrowest of margins at the Harrison 8-way meet Tuesday evening at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater. The team's depth provided the necessary push over a strong Maconaquah squad. Senior Henny Schminke (2nd - 19:52) and freshman Annie Dunford (4th - 20:13) led the way, both recording lifetime PRs. Henny now sits at 35th and Annie 43rd on the all-time 5K list. Senior Krisha Shah was the team's third finisher in 11th - 21:01. The tiebreaker is the finishing place of the sixth runner on each team. Freshman Alivia Lewis (21st - 22:33) gave the Red Devils the victory with a 58-second advantage over the sixth runner from Maconaquah.
