Boys XC opens '22 campaign in Terre Haute

On August 13, the boys kicked off the 2022 cross country season on the Lavern Gibson Championship XC Course in Terre Haute. The team placed in the middle of a deep field - 14th of 37. Senior Elijah Stenberg started the season on a high note placing 15th in 16:26. That time is 46-seconds faster than Elijah's performance in the IHSAA State Meet last October on the same course. Elijah along with Henry Balagtas ('22) qualified for the 2021 State Meet as individuals. The duo of junior Albert Rajwa (52nd - 17:27) and sophomore Ryan Miloudi (68th - 17:46) impressed as the team's second and third finishers. Freshman Zach Johnson had a tremendous debut as the team's fourth finisher (113th - 18:23). Senior Charlie Haq ran well to round out scorers in 136th - 18:40. Other varsity finishers Jack Chandler (10) - 143rd - 18:45 Jacob Wright (12) - 165th - 18:59 Lincoln Miller (10) - 212th - 19:46 Will Sautter (12) - 242nd - 20:27 Quentin Miller (12) - 245th - 20:29 The Red Devils are back in action next Saturday, 8/20, at the Zionsville Invitational - held at Northview Church in Carmel.
