The Red Devils had a rocky start on Monday evening, ending the first set 0-25. However, they did not give up, and fought hard in the second set to come out with 19 points against Battleground's 25. Raegan Miller served with 100% accuracy and led the team with six digs. Her tenacity on the court continues to lead the team when the playing gets rough. Juliana Martinez served the only ace for the evening on the A team. Olivia Lucas had a great line hit that Coach White was impressed with, and Stella Smosna fearlessly filled in as a middle hitter for the first set. In other news, Daphne Goldberg saw her first minutes in an A team game and her confidence shown through as she fit right in and helped the team fight hard in the second set. The B team lost as well with the scores being 19-25 the first set, and 12-25 the second set. Addy Weiner served with 100% accuracy, and Juliana Martinez got three aces with Jena Salem serving two aces. Jena Salem and Gia Mitrione both got four digs each.
