7th Grade VB Comes Up Short at Klondike

By Allison White | Sep 11, 2023 8:35 PM

In the game tonight against Klondike, the Red Devils struggled to communicate and aggresively go after the ball, coming up short against the Klondike Nuggets. Raegan Miller had the greatest amount of made serves in the A team game (8), and Coach White was proud of Stella Smosna who made a big difference in the game playing all the way around in the second game. Her determination to not let the ball hit the court did not go unnoticed. Logan Baily led the team with three digs. In the B team game, the Devils won the first set but lost the last two. Emily Boaz had three digs, three aces, and four serves made, leading the team in overall stats. Coach White felt like she stepped up in the back row tongiht. Juliana Martinez led the team in serves made (8). Jena Salem stepped in off the bench and made some great serves, making Coach White proud. The Red Devils will continue to work on free ball placement, at the net play, serving, and passing in the days to come. Their next match will be against Wea Ridge on Wednesday at home.
