Junior High Cross Country Competes at Rensselaer Invite

The Junior High cross country team competed at the Rensselaer Invite on Saturday. The races were split by grade and gender. The 8th grade boys started off the day with a 2nd place finish out of 11 teams. Ehan Qazi (3rd), Lucas Boesch (7th), Grant Johnson (8th), and Kevin Liu (18th) led the way with top 20 medals. Ethan Furst improved the most of all runners taking 1 minute and 32 seconds off his PR. Nathan Flesher improved by 1 minute and 30 second. Ryan Woo and Aaron Toms also set PRs. The 8th grade girls finished in 2nd place out of 9 teams. Annah Stenberg (4th) and Aubrey Kalb (6th) earned top 20 medals. Hannah Reed, Monica Chen, and Annie Wu each set a new PR. The 7th grade boys finished in 2nd place out of 13 teams. Linden Xiang (10th) and Caleb Bae (17th) led the way with new PRs and top 20 medals. Zak Koliantz, Theo Yang, Alex Liu, and Ben Bao also set a new personal best. The 7th grade girls finished in 3rd place out of 10 teams. Claire Kelley and Jayda Huang led the way with 25th and 32nd place finishes. Lucia Neal, Hannah Stanley and Addy Polk each set a new personal best.
