The girls XC team finished sixth of 19 teams on Saturday at the Brownsburg Invite. Senior Henny Schminke moved up into the top ten over the final kilometer to finish eighth in 19:14. Freshman Natalie Cuttell (27th) and sophomore Charlotte Simpson (34th) competed well in the 176-runner field, both finishing under 21:00. Junior Maddie Boesch (61st) was the fourth Red Devil across the finish line. Senior Bea Cabot (74th) recorded her top time of the season as the fifth and final scorer. Junior Gigi Ascarelli (82nd), senior Sophie Greenwell (90th), and sophomores Alivia Lewis (92nd) and Sarah Flesher (97th) also earned season's best times for their efforts. The girls are back in action next Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan University for the Wildcat Classic. The girls will run in the Red (big school) race, starting at 10:50am.
