Bella Garringer started the season off right with a deep three pointer to get the Red Devils on the board. Lucia Warden Torres scored 4 of her 8 total points and the defense shut out the Wildcats in the first quarter for a 11-0 start. West Side stretched the lead to 25-7 at halftime led by 8 points from Meredith Andrew and 6 from Isla St. Hilaire. The tough defense continued in the second half where Nichole Ajayi had 3 of her 5 steals. Ajayi also found her range with 3 made three pointers, leading all scorers with 13 points. West Lafayette won by a final of 42-14. St. Hilaire and Warden Torres each had 4 rebounds. Nolla Furry and Andrew had 3 steals each. The Red Devils' record is 1-0 on the young season.
