On January 17, 2026, West Lafayette faced Central Catholic in the semifinal matchup. West Lafayette got off to a slow start, trailing after the first quarter, but showed resilience and determination to battle back. Strong defense and improved offensive execution helped West Lafayette take control, heading into halftime with a 9-point lead. The team picked up right where they left off in the second half, continuing to apply pressure on both ends of the court. West Lafayette outscored Central Catholic by 10 points in the second half, pulling away to secure a 50–36 victory. Leading the scoring for West Lafayette were Liam Archer with 14 points, Keegan Slifer with 13 points, and Sammy Kyburz adding 10 points. The win highlighted a complete team effort and earned West Lafayette a spot in the championship game. Championship Game: West Lafayette faced Tecumseh Middle School in the championship game, looking for redemption after Tecumseh won the first matchup earlier in the season by nine points. The intensity was high from the opening tip as both teams battled for the title. The game was tied 9–9 after the first quarter. Tecumseh gained the upper hand in the second quarter, outscoring West Lafayette to take a 19–12 lead into halftime. West Lafayette came out of the locker room fired up and responded with an impressive third-quarter run, outscoring Tecumseh by 11 to take a 27–22 lead heading into the final period. The fourth quarter was a back-and-forth battle. With under a minute remaining, West Lafayette trailed by six but refused to quit. The team scored quickly, forced a turnover, and capitalized at the free-throw line to cut the deficit to two points. Despite the late surge, time ran out and West Lafayette fell just short, losing by two in a hard-fought championship game. It was a great season with a winning percentage!
