The West Lafayette Boys Swim & Dive team took the runner-up spot at the 2026 Hoosier Conference Championship, with outstanding performances team-wide. Western took the top spot with 425 points, followed by West Lafayette with 402. Hamilton Heights, Central Catholic and Rensselaer rounded out the top five with 316, 213 and 180 points respectively. Total Scores: Western 425, West Lafayette 402, Hamilton Heights 316, Central Catholic 213, Rensselaer Central 180, Logansport 174, Tipton 119, Twin Lakes 102, Benton Central 13 West Lafayette was led in scoring by a young team of sophomore Eric Yu with 58.5 points, sophomore Thomas Glassmaker with 51 points, as well as sophomore Miles Chen and freshman Jaxon Ersland with 50.5 points each. Yu was a double individual event champion, getting to the fall first in the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Freestyle. Additionally, the quad of Yu, Chen, Ersland and junior Jonathan Yang took first place in the 200 Medley Relay. The Red Devils also earned a number of runner-up finishes, including in the 200 Medley Relay (Glassmaker, Ersland, Reid Leeper (FR), Jacob Cohen (SR Captain)), 200 IM (Glassmaker), 100 Freestyle (Chen), 100 Backstroke (Glassmaker) and 100 Breaststroke (Ersland) and 400 Freestyle Relay (Yang, Chen, Glassmaker, Yu).
