The Red Devils were back at home on Tuesday night to host the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos. As the last co-ed regular season dual meet of the season, it was Senior Night for the Red Devils! Five seniors from the Class of 2026 celebrated their last co-ed home dual meet including Girls Senior Captains Mei Kihara and Cailyn Cho, Boys Senior Captain Jacob Cohen, as well as seniors Hazel Davis, Kexin Liu and Jessica Reingold. The Devils led the night, winning 7 out of 12 events. Final Score: West Lafayette 117, Lafayette Jeff 68 West Lafayette was led in scoring by sophomores Eric Yu and Miles Chen with 14 points apiece. Yu took the top spot in the 50 Freestyle and finished second in the 100 Butterfly, while Chen finished second in the 200 Freestyle and earned the first place finish in the 100 Backstroke. Both boys also swam on two event-winning relays. Rounding out the top scorers with double-digit point totals were freshman Jaxon Ersland and junior Jonathan Yang with 12 points each, as well as freshman Reid Leeper (11.5 points) and sophomore Thomas Glassmaker (10 points). The divers will open the competition at 5:00 on Thursday, January 15th at West Lafayette High School. Swimmers will close out the competition on Saturday, January 17th at Purdue University, starting at 12:00 pm.
