WL girls soccer defeats Culver 6-0 on the road. The scoring got started early after Vivian Huston’s pressure in the box forced a Culver own goal. It didn’t take long for Huston to put WL up 2-0, finding the back of the net on a play that started with a great restart by keeper Adrianne Tolen. In the 14th minute, senior forward Lauren Pedley got in on the scoring action, to put WL up 3-0. Sophomore Alivia Lewis scored her first varsity goal to push the score to 4-0 and followed up with an assist to Huston just before the end of the first half. Culver’s defense held strong for much of the second half, but Sarah Werth was able to break through for one final WL goal with under a minute to play to set the final score at 6-0. Adrianne Tolen kept the clean sheet, with junior keeper Bree Johnson keeping Culver off the board in 10 minutes of relief. WL JV put up the 9-0 shut out win. Freshman Paola Eifler led the way with a hat trick!
