Basketball (Boys 8) vs. Benton Central

The 8th grade boys opened the night against Benton Central with strong teamwork and unselfish play. West Lafayette moved the ball well, found open teammates, and played with high energy from the opening tip. After the first quarter, West Lafayette held a narrow lead, 13–10. The Red Devils added another 13 points in the second quarter while holding Benton Central to 10, taking a 26–20 lead into halftime. West Lafayette continued that momentum in the second half, working together on both ends of the floor and controlling the pace of the game. The team pulled away for a convincing 46–19 victory. Liam Archer led all scorers with 21 points. The West Lafayette B Team followed with an equally impressive performance, showing great chemistry and ball movement. The Red Devils built a 28–16 lead by halftime and continued their unselfish play in the second half. West Lafayette maintained control throughout and secured a 46–38 win. Joseph Purpura led the team with 15 points, while Maddox Masters added 10 points.
