West Lafayette 7th grade A team beat the Battle Ground A team 37-14 on Thursday night. Kendall Williamson led all scorers with 11 points followed by Jaxton Hysong and Parker Strode with 6 points each. The Red Devils defense was stifling again with 10 total steals. Jack Strode, Kohen Morlan, Ben Feldmeyer and P. Strode combined for 6 blocks. The West Lafayette B team continued its unbeaten streak with a hard-fought 33–29 win over Battle Ground, fueled by strong rebounding and disruptive defense. Ian Gilbert and Kohen Morlan led the scoring with 9 points apiece, with Morlan dominating the glass by pulling down 15 rebounds. Trip Swanson added 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 steals, setting the defensive tone throughout the game. Auggie Chang contributed 5 points and 5 assists, while David Vanderweilen chipped in 2 points, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block. West Lafayette’s physical play and relentless defensive pressure helped control the game late and secure the victory. The Red Devils have their last home game of the year Monday against Central Catholic.
