The junior/senior girls finished 9th of 17 in a competitive field at Zionsville's John Cleland Invitational. According to preseason rankings, seven of the top fifteen teams in Indiana competed over 4,000 meters on Saturday. Senior Henny Schminke led the way with an impressive eighth place finish in the 248-finisher field. Her strong performance ranks fifth all-time at Northview and is tied for the 18th fastest 4K in program history. Improving 3:47 from this meet last year, junior Maddie Boesch was the team's second finisher in 47th. Seniors Shannon Dineen (57th) and Bea Cabot (71st) scored as the team's third and fourth finishers. Junior Gigi Ascarelli (81st) scored as the team's fifth finisher in her XC debut. A pair of seniors, Sophie Greenwell (101st) and Grace Young (109th) rounded out the top seven Red Devils.
