FR/SO boys take 10th at Zionsville Invite

The freshman/sophomore boys placed 10th of 19 in a competitive field at Zionsville's John Cleland Invitational. According to preseason rankings, six of the top twenty teams competed over 4,000 meters on Saturday. Five freshman made an immediate impact in their high school debut, including the team's top finisher in the race, Luca Reynolds. Luca earned a medal, placing 16th in 13:35. Sophomore Zach Johnson (27th) competed well to finish in 13:51. Three more freshman, Ryan Kelley (89th), Will Springer (94th) and Archer Fry (95th) scored in their debut as the team's third, fourth and fifth finishers. All three covered 4,000 meters between 15:03-15:10. Freshman Aiden Graves (120th) and sophomore Ezra Buzzard-Cooke (179th) rounded out the top seven Red Devils. The underclassmen will have one more opportunity to compete together this season at the Culver Academies Invitational on September 23.
