Basketball (Boys 7) vs. Klondike

On Tuesday night the 7th grade West Lafayette A team played a close game against the Klondike A team. Despite their best efforts, due to 14 turnovers, West Lafayette fell short 29-24. Defense was on display for both teams in this low scoring game. As a team West Lafayette recorded 6 steals and 3 blocks. Parker Strode led all scorers with 14 points with Jack Strode scoring the next highest with 4 points. Ben Feldmeyer was aggressive on the glass, collecting 5 rebounds during the game. The A team looks forward to regrouping to take on Faith after Thanksgiving Break. West Lafayette 7th grade B team cruised to a 39–15 win over Klondike behind balanced scoring and a smothering defensive effort. Kohen Morlan led the way with 13 points and 8 rebounds, controlling the paint on both ends. Auggie Chiang added 8 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals, giving the team a strong spark on offense and defense. Trip Swanson chipped in 9 points and 3 rebounds, continuing his steady production. Brayson Gaeta delivered an all-around performance with 4 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal, while Owen Wehkamp added 3 points, 2 rebounds, and a block. Defensively, the Red Devils forced 9 steals, led by Chiang with three. West Lafayette’s teamwork, ball movement, and pressure defense were the story of the night as they secured the decisive victory.
