West Lafayette Jr-Sr High School

The West Lafayette 7th grade A team had their first road game at East Tipp on Thursday night. It was a balanced team effort that led the Red Devils to a 32-17 victory. Kendall Williamson led West Lafayette scorers with 13 points, while Ryne Emke contributed 7 and Jack Strode and Ben Feldmeyer each adding 4 points. On the defensive side the team rebounded well with Williamson collecting 5 rebounds followed closely behind by Feldmeyer with 4 boards. West Lafayette had 3 big blocks during the East Tipp game, one each from Parker Strode, Hank Andrews and Williamson. The A team has a quick day of rest before heading to Covington for a tournament on Saturday. West Lafayette 7th grade B team Cruises Past East Tipp 34–4. West Lafayette controlled the game defensively, allowing just 4 points in a dominant win over East Tipp. Kohen Morlan led the offense with 12 points and 5 rebounds, while Brayson Gaeta added 6 points and Trip Swanson scored 5 with 6 rebounds. The Red Devils forced turnovers throughout the night, highlighted by Kohen’s 6 steals, David Vanderweilen’s 3 steals, and Trip’s 3 steals. Auggie Chang chipped in 2 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals, and Evan Follis added 3 points and 2 steals. Strong defensive pressure and balanced scoring helped West Lafayette secure the convincing victory.
