The 7 th grade boys hosted Southwestern Tuesday night for their season opener. Both the A and B teams scored wins on the night vs the Wildcats. The A team won 41-19 where Parker Strode led all scorers with 13 points while Ryne Ehmke and Ben Feldmeyer chipped in 9 and 8 respectively. Kendall Williamson added 7 rebounds with 5 coming from the offensive end. Connor Hollingsworth used his quickness to secure 4 steals. Playing hard and aggressive was the theme of the night as the team totaled 19 steals. The B game was just as entertaining, winning 37-23. As a team they played super aggressively, but sometimes a bit too aggressive as the Wildcats scored half of all their points from the free throw line. The Red Devils were led by Kohen Morlan with 13 points and 15 rebounds followed by Trip Swanson adding 8 points and 8 rebounds. The night was capped off with a big Three made by Luke Dewees that brought the house down. Both teams will be back in action hosting Tecumseh on Thursday.
