Two Red Devils represented the program in the Franklin Central Distance Showcase on Friday evening. This highly competitive meet brings together most of the top distance athletes in Indiana for a mid-season showdown. Despite 15-25mph winds, all both boys recorded times at or below their previous best.
Senior Solomon Barket ran a gutsy race and finished in a season’s best of 4:39.77 over the full mile to place 16th in the first section. Solomon’s drive and dedication are paying off as he is running as well as ever in his final season as a Red Devil.
Freshman Henry Balagtas got the night off to a great start. He made a strong move to take the lead with 200m to go and ended up 3rd in a personal best of 4:56.14 over the full mile. Henry is continuing to show a great deal of promise in his first season.
