In a tight team race, the boys finished 6th to earn the final qualifying spot for next Saturday’s IHSAA State Finals.
The team was buried in the field with senior Mitchell Curl leading the way in 29th place overall. Three more Red Devils were within 6.1 seconds of Curl: junior Alec Meister (33rd), senior Harry Shook (34th), and Carter Delworth (38th). Sophomore Andre Hazbun rounded out scorers in 49th. Senior Solomon Barket and junior Tyler Milam also competed for the Red Devils.
The team earned the opportunity to compete in the IHSAA State Finals next Saturday, October 27th at the Lavern Gibson Championship XC Course in Terre Haute, IN. The boys race begins at 1:45pm.
