Split competitions? Yep, we did it again! Our Red Devil Swimming and Diving squads split
competitions with the McCutcheon Mavericks on Tuesday evening. The boys team continued to display their depth throughout the roster by finishing first in only half of the events but winning the competition by 37 points. The young ladies earned 3 big event victories: Alyson on the springboard and freshmen Lily and Anja in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly, respectively.
From Head Coach, Chad P. Dillon: “Our swimming squad picked up the slack in cheering for diving, this evening. I’ve never experienced rivaling cheer sections during the diving competition, but tonight the Mavericks and our Red Devils took the volume to another level. And it was nice to see our divers receive the support and make it a sweep in the diving events. Actually, we got 1 st and 2nd in both Girls and Boys Diving!”
Individual events winners: Christian Gutwein (1 individual event victory), Lily Baumgardner (1), Alyson Haehl (1), Ben Wassgren (1), Anja Owens (1), Jeremy Knipp (1), Ryan Knipp (1), Brayden Wrede (1)
Next up for the Red Devils: Thursday, December 12th @ HOME versus Twin Lakes and Rensselaer.
