Athletic Memorial Walk
Buy a Brick, Support Student Athletic Scholarships and Athletes
Since 1978 when the Memorial Athletic Scholarship was established, many student athletes from West Lafayette Jr./Sr. High School have benefited from scholarships established to help with college costs. Other scholarships have also been created honoring deceased students and staff. YOU now have the opportunity to add to these funds, and to increase the amount of scholarship help that will be given each year to deserving West Lafayette scholar-athletes.
With a donation to these scholarships, you may make a permanent mark on the athletic complex by adding your name, or the name of your choice, on a brick to be placed in the “Memorial Athletic Walk.” The brick “Memorial Athletic Walk” garden will be installed in late summer 2004 adjacent to the sidewalk approaching the Gordon Straley Football field. Landscaping will enhance the engraved bricks and flat markers naming the scholarships below.
Decide now to buy a brick and support WL student athletes. You may, of course, donate any amount you choose. For a donation of $100 or more you may have a brick engraved. Your donations will increase the value of scholarships given and/or increase number of awards given. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to support the scholarship(s) of your choice or the athletic department.
