Red Devils News · Tyler Boyle Awarded the Donald and Pauline Trout Scholarship


At last week’s Franciscan Hoops Classic, Tyler Boyle was awarded the Donald and Pauline Trout Scholarship. This award is given to a senior student-athlete nominated by his coach and administration. To be considered for the award, an applicant must excel in mental attitude, athletic ability, scholarship, and leadership.

Tyler Boyle is a three-sport athlete at West Lafayette Jr. Sr. High School participating in football, basketball, and baseball. He is a member of the BOSS executive board, West Lafayette Dance Marathon, National Honor Society, Student-Athletics Leadership Council,  and Young Life.  Tyler does all of this while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Coach David Wood said the following about Tyler. “Athletically, Tyler is an extremely motivated and respected young man. He is an excellent athlete who leads by example. He
respects his coaches and teammates, as well as game officials and opponents. In short, he leads our teams with class.”
